Today I visited the Orchideeën Hoeve again. I wanted to do extensive photography again. There was too much wind outside to make something beautiful. Landscaps may be possible, but that is simply not my thing. So I went there early to be there before the crowd arrived.
The Orchideeën Hoeve continues to expand. The newest enclosure is one with meerkats. It looks very good and cared for, like everything at the Orchideeën Hoeve. Meerkats can be seen at many zoos, not really new, but they are fun.
They are such perky critters. You can notice that they have not been there that long. They were still very wary, a little scared. A little one first viewed everything from the hole. And of course they were constantly on the lookout in the attitude that makes them so famous and gave them the Dutch name Stokstaartje (stick tail).
