Some special faces in Burgers Zoo

Since 1971 there has been a group of Chimpanzees in Burgers Zoo. At that time, it was a revolutionary idea to house a large group on an island. Usually zoos had 2 or 3 in a tiled cage with bars. We can hardly imagine that now.

Meanwhile, the faces of the members of the group are marked by time. There are very remarkable faces. During my visit to the zoo yesterday, I photographed several.

My visit was interrupted by a few heavy showers. Furthermore, it got busier than I liked. 1.5 meters was not always maintained. It was not the zoo, but visitors who were not paying attention, or simply disregarded the rules. Too bad!

If the weather is OK, I will visit a zoo on Friday. Hopefully that produces nice photos.
