Autumn walk

Herfstbladeren Autumn leaves

This afternoon I did a short walk in my the neighborhood. An “autumn walk” because I went for autumn colors. Every day I pass a hedge whose leaves increasingly color. At the moment the colors are unlikely fierce, especially because the sun shone on them. The walk felt strange. It was 26 degrees Celsius today. So bizarre for October 13. All records are broken this year. It was never so late in the year above 25 degrees. There were never so many days above 20 degrees in a year. July 26, 2018 was the hottest day ever measured in the Netherlands.

The climate is changing. Nobody can deny that anymore. That is dangerous! The rising sea level is a danger for a country that is largely below sea level. Our eternal “battle against the water” will become heavier. On the other hand, higher temperatures and more drought are dangerous. Peat subsidence subsides, with all consequences. But nature will also change. Our beautiful deciduous trees, such as the oak, are not resistant to such weather conditions. Many animals and plants will disappear. Our nature is going. Everyone must finally realize that things will have to change!

I share 3 photos that I took this afternoon. Twice the hedge and once the beauty that lies on the ground. Then some autumn pictures from previous years. Two of them did well on Viewbug. Enjoy watching!

The world is in concern about the fast changing climatic conditions. Your thoughts are up to date and they made me think of the future hazards we will have to face. Anyway the photos were amazing. Still the nature is beautiful.
