Whether I visit a zoo is mainly determined by the primates and/or big cats I can see there. Those are my favourite subjects. But I do photograph every animal. And then I actually find almost everything fun and interesting. Smaller animals can always be seen in every zoo. They often have meerkats, prairie dogs and the like. That’s the by-catch when I throw out my “nets” to catch the big animals. That’s why I now share by-catch. Below each photo is the zoo and the year the photo was taken.
