Today and yesterday I walked at the Tichelgaten. This is an area in the flood plains of the IJssel. It is a wetland area that was created by excavating clay for a brick factory that was active there in the past. Nature has taken over completely. There are so many plants and animals, especially waterfowl and insects. The weather was wonderful. Yesterday when I did not have the camera, I saw birds that I hoped to photograph today. Unfortunately, that did not work out. But there is so much more to see.

The air was full of dragonflies. They also sat on my shirt. I wanted close-ups, but not so close. When I finally found my mobile, it flew away. The photos have been edited with Lightroom and Color Efex Pro.

Daar waar de natuur het weer overgenomen heeft van de mens, zijn vaak de mooiste natuurgebieden vol met mooie en soms bijzondere planten die weer bezocht worden door onder andere de mooiste vlinders en libelles. En dat is genieten :-)).

Het is inderdaad een prachtig gebied. Ik geniet er steeds opnieuw van, ook al kom ik er al jaren. Het is steeds weer anders.
