Cockchafer

Cockchafer, I have not seen that many in my life. I always heard my mother tell me that there were a lot of cockchafer in a hedge in the old days. I thought they might have been extinct. This year I have seen them in different places, several together. The optimist in me then thinks: OK it is not so bad with the cockchafer yet. Another option is that I have paid more attention during walks in the month of May. I now saw them while I had no eye for them before. Anyway: pictures of cockchafer!
